America's first circular retailer™

Circularity is the solution

Each American throws out 81 lbs of clothing per year. This is not sustainable.

A circular business mimics nature’s true genius.

Our model creates prosperity while maintaining the delicate balance between utilizing resources and regenerating them.

As we reach the limits of what our environment can handle, Manymoons is here to help make the shift to a more sustainable future.

Circular – It’s How we Roll

Our ethical & sustainable partners respect the land by promoting organic agricultural practices free from toxic pesticides. Seeds grow into soft, natural fibers that are safer for workers & the environment, plus safer for young developing bodies.

Our brands carry certifications like organic, GOTS, and OEKO-Tex, which promise the use of non-hazardous chemicals during growing and processing.

Our supplier code of conduct ensures that our partners abide by our strict environmental, social, and governance standards — including, but not limited to: paying living wage, ensuring reasonable working hours and benefits, anti-discrimination, environmental impact accuracy and traceability, and uplifting their local communities

We audit all suppliers annually to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

We work hard to ensure our garments live their best and longest lives. This starts by sourcing natural fibers which are highly durable and standup against stains and shrinking.

We provide families a solution to safely return what they no longer need. Manymoons rewards families to return our garments with a Lifetime Return credit worth 20% of your original purchase price.

When we receive our returned products, we meticulously clean and repair it until it’s like new – sharing it with another family to be loved and eventually returned again.

We work with our partners to continuously improve product durability. Our proprietary durability score measures each garment across 14 points. We share this information with our partners to further extend the life of our products.

Manymoons designs “waste out” with our sourcing, collection & recycling strategy.

We source natural mono-fibers because of their ability to be recycled and composted. When our products reach their end of life, we always take them back.

We then leverage our partnerships to recycle “best lived” garments back into fiber or safely return them to nature by composting to keep all our products out of landfills. In partnership with Neighborhood Compost in northern New Jersey, our clothing composting program provides a rich source of carbon to balance the nitrogen-rich food scraps in their compost materials – supporting the generation of nutrient-rich soil.

As we expand into new products, we are committed to responsibly managing products at their end of life to divert waste to landfill. To achieve this goal, we are continually exploring waste management partners and testing innovative solutions.

Our Impact to Date

82 tons of CO2-E savings

Greenhouse gases are emitted during clothing manufacture and disposal. Manymoons reduces CO2 emissions by:

  • Keeping material in use as long as possible, & reducing the need to grow materials or make new garments.
  • Keeping our clothing out of landfills. Landfills are very harmful to the environment. Materials decomposing in landfills cause the release of methane – that’s 25X more powerful than basic CO2 emission.
4.8 million gallons of fresh water saved

Fresh water is the largest natural resource used in agriculture, clothing manufacture and clothing usage. Manymoons saves fresh water by:

  • Sourcing fibers grown using organic agricultural practices. When we prohibit toxic pesticide use, we greatly reduce the fresh water required and create safer conditions for the workers, the environment, and ultimately a safer product for your growing child.
  • Keeping our clothing in use as long as possible. Reuse reduces the fresh water needed to grow or manufacture new garments.
0.1 Tons of clothing diverted from landfill

The average American throws away 81 lbs of clothing per year. 85% of discarded clothes end up in landfill. Landfills contribute to global warming by anaerobic decomposition of materials that release methane. As landfill materials decompose, additional toxic chemical byproducts can run off, and contaminate local environments + the water supply. Manymoons avoids landfilling by:

  • Partnering with companies that recycle mono-fibers back into useable fiber for new materials
  • Partnering with local composters who safely return our end-of-life clothing back to nature, without jeopardizing soil health

As the first circular retailer to be a Certified B Corp, we’re part of a global movement to redefine success in business. By balancing profit with purpose, we seek to achieve higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Certification is administered by the non-profit organization B Lab, much like how Agricultural Services Certified Organic (ASCO) certifies products as USDA Organic or the USGBC awards LEED certification to buildings.
